Cleopatra is said to have asked for a snake as an instrument of her death. She stipulated that the venom of it should not cause an agonizing death nor disfigure her body. She was brought an asp which was the perfect choice to end her life. This is the asp in relation to the ground where it lived its life before it was discovered and brought to render the queen her last service.
